PostHeaderIcon What kinds of products help get rid of oily skin?

I don’t really have a big problem with acne. Once in a while I will get a pimple but it’s not that big. My main concern is oily skin. My dad’s Italian and he also has oily skin which I get from him. I can’t really touch my face or else I usually get a breakout. Are there any good products out now that can help control the oil in my skin?
Thanks!

PostHeaderIcon Acne Remedies?

May anyone consider giving me some acne remedies?
(Home rememdies, Homeopathy, Cleasners, ETC.)

My dad is suppose to go out for me and get me whatever I want because I am passing a school class (With an A finally!), and I’m suppose to tell him by tomorrow. So any ideas?

P.S.: I don’t want an answer like "Visit a dermatologist…" because, as I know, since I am under the age of 18 and it’ll be pointless because of the fact that it’s my hormones. BUT it doesn’t mean that acne isn’t ruining my self esteem so please give me answers that’ll actually help me?! =(

This is what I suggest:

Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good consistancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. These two things are very inexpensive and it’s very easy to do since there is only two ingredients.

Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. But this is not recommended to everyone because it can make it worse.

Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. Then, use cold water at the end to close you pores. The smaller your pores are, the less likely you’re prone to pimples. Don’t use body soaps because they dry out your skin. Don’t scrub too hard when you wash your face, because it can irritate your skin.

Zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. You can buy these almost about any large store (such as Wal-Mart or Shaws.) Have one or two tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. Drink lots of water and don’t pop you acne. Popping acne can lead to acne scars. Zinc can be found in many types of fishes.

If you have sensitive skin, don’t use make up. Some of the things in make up can clog your pores and cause pimples. Keep your hands out of your face as much as you can because you hands are full of bacteria and oils. Keep your hair out of your face because the oils in your hair could go into your pores. Change you sheets because they’re are trapped with dirt, oils, etc.

An egg yoke can be used to make you pores smaller. I used this when I had pimples. Just take the egg yolk (the yellow part) and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water and then splash your face with cold water. Aloe vera helps acne scars lighten and less noticeable (lemon, cocoa butter, witch hazel, and tea tree oil do the same thing). Use the gel (of the aloe plant) or the real thing.

PostHeaderIcon Acne creams without testing on animals?

My mom doesn’t let me use acne creams because of the testing on animals. What should I use? Sometimes she makes me use OLIVE OIL which doesn’t really work for me. acne creams without testing on animals and stuff. Help!

On the back of the Murad box, it says:

"Dermatologist developed. Tested on people, not animals."

Murad is actually one of the best acne treatments. Olive oil is only good for controlling oil production.

I would go for this kit:
http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P6620&categoryId=B70

But if you cant afford that, theres a smaller size available:
http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P239604&categoryId=B70

Or you can just get the spot treatment:
http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P4001&categoryId=B70

btw…practically all drugstore acne products test on animals. Clean & Clear is owned by Johnson & Johnson. Johnson &Johnson tests on animals. So does Clearasil. Neutrogena is also owned by Johnson & Johnson.

PostHeaderIcon How can i get rid of my embarrassing chest acne?

I have chest acne and it’s pretty bad. The weird thing about it is that it comes and goes and i have no idea what causes it. I’m sick and tired of having to wear all t shirts because im so embarrassed of my chest. I’d really like some help with this one guys!

i think that the first thing that you should not do is scratch, also don’t put many acne treatments in there, then you should go see a determologist. try not to spray perfume or don’t put nothing in your chest(meaning avoid putting anythinh in your chest for a while), because maybe that is the problem. My lil. sister had the same problem, but we found out that the perfume she was putting on, was the cause of her getting acne, and rashes. HOPE THIS WORKS
